Brecon Castle has been home to many aristocratic families and guests ranging from the brother of William the Conqueror, Prince Llewellyn (the last true King of Wales), the Dukes of Buckingham, Henry VIII, Charles I, George Bernard Shaw, Augustus John, Lloyd George and people from all walks of life from medieval times to present day.
Exclusive use of the hotel guarantees your wedding party the sole use of all guest rooms, public rooms, dining and function rooms and the gardens for their party from 2pm on the day of arrival until 11am on the day of departure. Exclusive use also ensures that the party finishes when you want it to finish.
Brecon Castle is always happy to reserve weddings on an exclusive use basis as we can ensure much greater flexibility and personal attention for the bride and groom when organizing their wedding day – you will not be restricted to set meal times and all function rooms and guest rooms will be available to suit your exact purposes.
Exclusive use also incorporates a specially designed menu from our Head Chef, who will prepare a menu to your specific tastes. Any print work such as menus and place cards can also be included.
Exclusive Use of the hotel allows the wedding party to have two guests per bedroom (constituting a total of 82 guests in the present disposition of rooms). Certain rooms can cater for an additional bed or cot.
Exclusive use begins with check-in at 2.00 pm and ends at 11.00am on the day of departure.
