The Castle at Brecon is ideal for the bride and groom looking for a traditional venue with professional service. The hotel is an historic site linking back to the foundation of the town; a coaching inn, which grew out of the ruins of the castle and in 1809, became the first ‘modern’ hotel in Wales.
The Castle retains the warmth and character of a coaching inn. The Georgian Ballroom, with the remains of the great hall of the castle attached, is undoubtedly the most attractive and historic venue in Brecon. The Brecon Beacons dominate the town and provide a picturesque backdrop to our ballroom and our gardens.
The team at the Castle is made up of dedicated professionals and our aim is to provide you with a day to remember. The food and service that we offer are merely a part of the total service that we provide to all brides. We understand that the cost of a wedding reception can escalate and endeavour to ease your budget by providing a tailor-made package to suit your needs.
