Wedding Accommodation at the Brecon Castle Hotel
Our Wedding Accommodation provides every luxury and sense of romance needed for the perfect wedding evening or honeymoon.
Please refer to our Hotel Rooms and Rates page for further details.
The 31 double or twin bedrooms in the main hotel (including one four poster room) are decorated in a contemporary style with Flat Screen Televisions, Cable TV, Film and Music on demand, Lap Top Safes, Hairdryers, Tea & Coffee making facilities, generous King-Size Double or Twin beds and ensuite bathrooms. All rooms are non-smoking, disabled bedrooms and facilities are available and there are Internet access ports in all rooms and WiFi in all public areas (including the main ballroom and function rooms). The adjacent Annex (the former stable block of the castle) has a further 12 double or twin rooms.

We can therefore accommodate up to 82 guests within our own establishment (excluding children) and the town of Brecon can offer a further 200 bedrooms, all within a few minutes walking distance. We recommend our principal South-facing rooms in the hotel, which are our largest rooms for honeymoon couples or those wanting a romantic night away. Three of these rooms in particular have been named after regular visitors to the hotel, all of whom signed the visitor book for these respective bedrooms: The Augustus John Room, The George Bernard Shaw Room, the Lloyd George Four Poster Room and, perhaps more controversially, the room in which Von Ribbentrop used to stay (before becoming Hitler’s Foreign Minister, Von Ribbentrop visited the hotel regularly in the 1920’s, selling his family’s Henkel-Trokken sparkling wines and always stayed in his favourite room.
The Lloyd George room has been decorated in a traditional style with modern influence. This room with its traditional bed and large bay window is wonderful for honeymooners. The bay window offers fantastic views over the grounds and mountains which you can enjoy over afternoon tea or even a leisurely champagne breakfast.
Please note that due to the popularity of Brecon Castle with people visiting Brecon and the Brecon Beacons on weekends, during the peak months of May to September, wedding guests staying at our hotel will need to book both Friday AND Saturday nights inclusive.
